SST supply high-accuracy oxygen sensors for many types of application. We offer a product customisation capability to include customer specific requirements, typically in the format of the sensor package. The core sensing element can be incorporated into various probe diameters from Ø12mm upwards, with Ø15mm being another common size. The minimum length of probe is typically 17mm, maximum to your requirements. Taking these limits we can then supply the sensor in a variety of housings depending on the required mounting, including taper and straight threads, smooth cylindrical barrels and flange mount. The sensor can be fitted with a porous end cap to allow faster response times. This reduces the maximum permissible gas temperature to +250ºC. Terminations available include basic stainless steel wire on shorter versions (required due to the high operating temperature in the sensor element), spade terminals, and leadwires with a variety of connectors. The standard range of sensors have to be operated by an electronic measuring circuit that controls the sensor operation and signal processing. This circuit can either be incorporated into the customer’s own electronics, or be purchased as a separate interface board from SST.
