The APNX is a high-resolution sensor capable of measuring angular position of rotating parts. Advantages include non-contact operation that minimises mechanical wear of the moving parts, insensitivity to shock and vibration, and ability to withstand large variations in the gap between the sensor and the magnet. The APNX sensor is manufactured with Honeywell’s high resolution, Magneto Resistive Sensor ICs, capable of measuring the angle of direction of a magnetic field The APNX sensor includes the base unit where the electronics are located and the bridge where a magnet is located.
As the sensor is actuated by relative movement of the bridge and base there are no small shafts and linkages required to actuate these, increasing reliability in harsh environments. Parameter
